Saklan Lodge First Year Arrowman Patch Requirements

The First Year Arrowman Award is presented to those Arrowmen who have shown dedication to Saklan Lodge in their first year of membership. To earn this award, you must complete the requirements within 12 months of your Induction. The award will be presented at the annual Lodge Banquet.
Currently, for the first year that this award is available, there is an exception in place: all Arrowmen who are not first-year members are eligible for this award through the 2026 Lodge Banquet, with the time period between the 2025 and 2026 Lodge Banquets counting as their first year for the sake of this award.
Requirements:
Core:
1. Attain the Brotherhood Honor
2. Be an active member of your unit
3. Attend at least three Chapter Meetings
4. Attend at least two of the following Lodge or Section events: Lodge Banquet, Lodge Holiday Party, Section G17S Conclave, Lodge Seasonal Fellowship (Two different Lodge Seasonal Fellowships may be counted.)
Electives (Complete 1 from each group):
Group O:
1. Serve as Principal Ceremonialist in a Pre-Ordeal, Ordeal, or Brotherhood ceremony or other role approved by the Ceremonies Chairman
2. Join and satisfactorily serve on a Lodge Committee or serve as a Lodge Committee Advisor
3. Serve as a Chapter or Lodge Officer or Advisor
4. Help plan and serve on district Camp-O-Ree staff
5. Satisfactorily serve as an OA Unit Representative or OA Unit Advisor for a minimum of six months
Group A:
1. Assist in a Lodge Service Project
2. Participate in a Lodge Leadership Development (LLD)
3. Participate in at least two Unit Elections (other than your home unit) as an election team member
4. Attend NLS, NOAC, Operation Arrow, ArrowCorps, or OA High Adventure
